A clinical officer in Makueni county has been charged with defiling a class 8 girl. The medical officer is said to have committed the act after the minor sought medical attention at his clinic after she was allegedly defiled in a separate incident. One person died on Friday after a fatal accident on the Nakuru-Naivasha highway. The early morning accident also left two other people injured. Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) has raised an alarm over increased incidences of hyenas biting off buffalo testicles at Aberdare National Park. The hungry scavengers are said to take advantage of the hanging parts of the animals leading to life time deformities of the buffaloes at the park. The government has confiscated 340 guns from firearm holders with fake licences, Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i said on Tuesday. According to the CS, some of the firearms confiscated are military grade weapons that should not be in the hands of civilians.
