The Kenya Judges and Magistrates Association (KMJA) has moved to court to block the prosecution of Justices Aggrey Muchelule and Said Chitembwe over alleged graft dealings. Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria was on Thursday acquitted of assault charges in a case filed in court in January 2020. The controversial lawmaker had been accused of assaulting Joyce Wanja at Royal Media studios on December 8, 2019. Two suspected thugs were on Wednesday shot dead after an attempted robbery at a hardware store in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area. The two were among a gang of six men that had broken into Jamarat hardware in Eastleigh’s 4th street before police foiled the robbery. A plane operated by Skyward Express crash-landed in Elwak, Mandera County, on Wednesday morning. Kahawa Tungu understands that the flight — registration number 5Y-GRS— from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport crash-landed in Boru Hache military base near the Kenya-Somalia border. The death toll from the Malanga tanker tragedy has risen to 15 after two more people succumbed to injuries.
