Kyadondo East Member of Parliament, Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine, has said that he would not be able to run for presidency while he is not yet free as a Ugandan citizen.
In an interview with NTV’s Ken Mijungu on Sidebar, the politician revealed that his family lives in fear everyday but they stand with him because he is doing the right thing.
He said that he lives everyday like it is his last day because he is aware that he is not safe in his own country.
Bobi revealed that this realization makes him ‘multiply’ himself by sharing his ideologies and vision with the people he comes across, so he would have people standing up for freedom and human rights when he is not able to do so.

Asked what his relationship with the President is like, the Kyadondo East MP said that he has a lot of Respect for President Museveni, but the same respect is what makes him criticize him.
The father of four said that he would not be a slave in his own homeland, hence the reason why he fights for the freedom of Ugandan citizens.
Bobi Wine believes in a peaceful quest for freedom and not unlawful killing of innocent citizens.
His interview sparked an array of reactions online as Kenyans feel like he expressed the characteristics of a true leader and Kenyan leaders should emulate him.
Here is what some people had to say:

“Freedom comes to those who fight not those cry, for if you continue to cry people will continue to die” Bobi Wine.
It so sad that in this day, age and century we have still speaking of /fighting for freedom because of the leaders that torment us. #Sidebar— Vincent Ooro (@scentor) October 2, 2018
