Comedian Eric Omondi has revealed that his older brother is a serial drug addict. The comedian said that he has in the past tried to help his brother but kept on running away to get a ‘fix.’
“He has been in and out of rehabilitation. We have tried our best as a family. Because of his addiction he has a tendency to run away from us to avoid Rehabilitation,” Eric says on Instagram.
The comedian says that he received word that the sibling, Joseph Omondi had been spotted in Nairobi’s downtown along Nyandarua Road and was looking frail.
During the rescue mission, Joseph does not utter a word and does not recognize his brother.

Eric said the his fellow comedian, Chipukeezy who was named the director, NACADA had agreed to help Joseph with his drug problem. He has urged other Kenyans with the same issue to come forward and ask for help.
A few days ago, Martin Kimotho better known as Githeri man was also admitted into rehabilitation for his ardent alcoholism.
