Dr. Ekuru Aukot, ThirdWay Alliance Party Presidential Candidate

Presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot of the Third Way Alliance party has said he will go to court to seek clarification on the fresh elections order given by the court.

According to the lawyer the supreme court declared the presidential elections null and void and therefore all that vied for the said seat ought to be back in the ballot.

Decision by @IEBCKenya to lock other presidential candidates out of #FreshElections is INVALID ILLEGAL, NULL & VOID We Are headed to Court

He said that the decision by the electoral body to bar the other candidates from participating in the fresh elections was because the body’s CEO and legal department ‘could not read the law.’

Now it is clear why @IEBCKenya has legal challenges from the CHAIRMAN, CEO AND THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT. They simply can't read the law

While appearing on Citizen Tv’s Monday Special he said that for Kenya to have a credible election the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati should resign as the court found him culpable as the first respondent.

For IEBC to hold a credible elections then @wchebukati MUST go .The court found him culpable as the first respondent #MondaySpecialKE

The IEBC said that they would be conducting the fresh polls on 17th of October and that only the petitioner Raila Odinga and the 3rd respondent Uhuru Kenyatta will be allowed to vie .
