Former Tetu Member of Parliament Francis Thombe Nyammo has died at the age of 86.
Nyammo passed away on Sunday morning, according to Rotary Club Karen president Linet Ayuko, who made the announcement.
National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula on Monday mourned the former legislator, describing him as a leader who dedicated his life to public service.
“With deep sorrow, I have learnt of the passing of former Tetu MP, Hon. Francis Thombe Nyammo. He will be remembered for his distinguished service, leadership, and commitment to community welfare,” said Wetang’ula.
Nyammo was first elected to represent Tetu Constituency in the National Assembly during the 2007 parliamentary elections.
