Four people died on Saturday morning in a tragic road accident involving a Suzuki Wagon and a trailer along the Northern Bypass near Membley Bridge in Kiambu County.
According to police reports, the crash occurred at around 3:42 am.
The Suzuki Wagon, which was carrying four people, rammed into the rear of a trailer that was heading from the direction of Kahawa West towards the Membley roundabout.
“All four occupants of the Suzuki, including the driver and three passengers, died on the spot due to the impact of the collision,” police said.
Their bodies were taken to General Kago Mortuary in Thika for identification and postmortem examination.
Officers visited the scene and documented the incident. Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
The road where the crash happened is tarmacked and weather conditions at the time were calm, authorities confirmed.
