There is disquiet in Kenyan rugby circles with players, suppliers and vendors now against the KRFU officials. You need to read the debacle of players who had stringent fines imposed on them by the under-performing Kenya 7s coach Paul Treu. A worthy blog post is here

Some of the fines which were introduced in the team are as follows.

Some players confirmed the same on Facebook.

So today, vendors at the Safaricom 7s event which is starting tomorrow have reeived different communications from different quarters claiming that the fees for renting food vending space has been raised from Ksh 100,000 to Ksh 200,000. Alcohol vending fees has been increased from Ksh 300,000 to Ksh 500,000.

The above has raised the ire of rugby enthusiasts that now they plan to tame the runaway greed in the sport. Most players and supporters of the game claim that the attitude of KRFU officials and Safaricom is making fans stay away from the game. They say that Kabeberi 7s and Christie 7s had empty stands because of that attitude.
