The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has denied claims that CEO Ezra Chiloba was fired.
Reports from various media outlets had indicated that the chairman Wafula Chebukati had fired the CEO over gross misconduct.
“It is not true that CEO Ezra Chiloba, who is on suspension, has been dismissed from employment,” the tweet reads. What is true is that the disciplinary process is on-going and the Commission will make an objective decision on the matter,” IEBC stated on its twitter page.

Ezra Chiloba had however been asked to appear before the disciplinary commitee but failed to appear. He was summoned over the audit report that showed that millions might have been lost as a result of procurement malpractices during the 2017 elections.
