The ranking was based on the ability by the police and other security forces to provide security .The Inspector General said that the police have been providing security quite well the past few years.
The Kenya police have been under siege from failure to provide security during the past electioneering where they were seen to be partisan and against the supporters of the opposition where the used excessive force which allegedly led to deaths and injuries as per reports by the human rights organisation in the country.
Botswana was ranked best in Africa at number 47 while the global position went to Singapore.
