    Early Life

Jesús Ortiz Paz was born in Mexico in 1997 and grew up in San Bernardino, California. He was raised around both Mexican culture and the hip-hop culture of Southern California, influences that would later become central to his musical identity.

Ortiz Paz listened to traditional Mexican artists such as Chalino Sánchez and Adán Sánchez while also becoming heavily influenced by American hip-hop. The contrast between the two musical worlds eventually helped shape the sound he developed with Fuerza Regida.

Before becoming successful, Ortiz Paz worked ordinary jobs, including at a barbershop. He also promoted performances and used social media to build an audience around himself and the musicians he worked with.

    Formation of Fuerza Regida

Fuerza Regida was formed in San Bernardino in 2015. The group initially performed cover songs at backyard parties, bars and other small events.

Ortiz Paz became the group’s lead vocalist, while Samuel Jaimez played requinto guitar, Khrystian Ramos played guitar and José Garcia played tuba. Moisés López later joined on tololoche.

The group developed a distinctive approach to corridos by combining regional Mexican instrumentation with the clothing, attitude and energy associated with American hip-hop and street culture.

Their breakthrough came in 2018 with “Radicamos en South Central.” The song gained traction online and attracted the attention of Rancho Humilde founder Jimmy Humilde, who subsequently signed Fuerza Regida.

    Fuerza Regida’s Musical Breakthrough

Fuerza Regida released En Vivo Puros Corridos in 2018 before following it with Del Barrio Hasta Aquí in 2019. The latter reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Albums chart.

The group continued releasing projects including Adicto, Otro Pedo, Otro Mundo, Del Barrio Hasta Aquí, Vol. 2 and Pa Que Hablen.

One of the group’s biggest breakthroughs came with “Bebe Dame,” a collaboration with Grupo Frontera. The song became a major Latin hit and reached the Billboard Hot 100.

Fuerza Regida’s 2023 album Pa las Baby’s y Belikeada expanded the group’s audience further. It featured songs such as “TQM,” “Sabor Fresa,” “Qué Onda” and “Harley Quinn,” along with collaborations involving Peso Pluma, Marshmello and María Becerra.

    Jersey Corridos and 111XPANTIA

Ortiz Paz has also pushed Fuerza Regida beyond traditional corridos.

The 2024 album Pero No Te Enamores incorporated elements of Jersey club, house, reggaeton, drill and electronic music. Ortiz Paz described the hybrid style as Jersey corridos.

In 2025, Fuerza Regida released 111XPANTIA, an album inspired by the Nahuatl concept of manifestation. The project debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and became a major commercial milestone for the group.

Songs such as “Marlboro Rojo” and “Tu Sancho” further strengthened Fuerza Regida’s mainstream profile.

The group also appeared on programs including Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, exposing Ortiz Paz and his bandmates to a broader American audience.

    Fuerza Regida Touring Earnings

Touring has become one of Fuerza Regida’s biggest commercial operations.

The group’s 2023 Otra Peda Tour generated more than $31 million from 21 concerts reported to Pollstar and sold nearly 248,000 tickets. A show at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles alone generated almost $3.7 million in gross ticket sales.

In 2024, the group generated more than $42 million from approximately 317,000 tickets.

Fuerza Regida subsequently moved into stadiums, demonstrating the growing commercial power of música mexicana in the United States.

The group’s first full American stadium tour opened in 2026. Its first three reported shows generated approximately $15.7 million, or more than $5 million per performance on average.

Those figures represent gross concert revenue and not Ortiz Paz’s personal income. A significant portion of the money is spent on production, venues, promoters, crew, management and other touring expenses.

    Street Mob Records

Ortiz Paz founded Street Mob Records in 2019 as a platform for developing emerging Mexican and Mexican-American artists.

The label has been associated with artists including Chino Pacas, Calle 24, Clave Especial, Armenta, Chuy Montana and Chuyin.

One of Street Mob’s biggest successes came through Chino Pacas. His song “El Gordo Trae el Mando” reached the Billboard Hot 100 while he was still a teenager.

Street Mob expanded its business operations in 2024 after signing a global publishing agreement with Sony Music Publishing Latin. The company also brought veteran music executive Gustavo López on board as president.

For Ortiz Paz, the label represents another way of generating wealth while giving emerging artists an opportunity to develop their careers within música mexicana.

    Rancho Humilde Lawsuit

Ortiz Paz and Fuerza Regida have also faced a significant legal dispute with Rancho Humilde.

Rancho Humilde sued Fuerza Regida in 2025, alleging that the group breached contractual obligations through unauthorized collaborations and agreements with outside companies.

Fuerza Regida countersued, alleging that Rancho Humilde withheld millions of dollars in royalties, interfered with business opportunities and failed to return certain master recordings.

One major issue in the dispute concerns California’s seven-year limit on personal-service contracts.

The legal battle has significant financial implications because it involves recording rights, royalties and contractual obligations. The dispute remained unresolved as the case proceeded through federal court.

    Charitable Activities

Ortiz Paz and Fuerza Regida have also directed part of their success toward charitable causes.

The group has supported organizations assisting street vendors and provided temporary hotel accommodations for families displaced by Los Angeles-area wildfires.

Fuerza Regida and Street Mob have also established scholarships for students at California State University, San Bernardino. Merchandise proceeds have additionally been directed toward organizations providing immigration legal assistance.
