Governor Ali Hassan Joho’s campaign car was seized by Anti-narcotic detectives during a drug operation in Mombasa.
The operation saw heroin worth millions impounded. Seven suspected drug traffickers were arrested with a half a kilo of heroin and 4.5 million shillings in cash.
Police took possession of seven vehicles which were parked in the Nyali compound where the raid took place.
One of the seven vehicles, a Toyota Crowne, was part of Hassan Joho’s campaign motorcade.
Larry Kieng, Regional police commander, said police were still questioning the suspects after the court granted them five days to complete their investigation.
