Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has gone back on his word not to take legal action against Jubilee politicians who referred to him as a “drug dealer.”
On Sunday Nandi Governor Stephen Sang said the ODM party leader was misleading the people about the handshake while ruining young lives as he sells them drugs.
Also embroiled in the drug dealing case that Joho has since filed in court are Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa and Kapsaret’s Oscar Sudi.
Joho had given the three 24 hours to retract the malicious remarks which he said are meant to tarnish his name and ultimately his political career.
But according to Joho, the drug dealing mastermind is Deputy President William Ruto who he has publicly opposed.
Two weeks ago, the Mombasa county boss said he has orders to block Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid at all costs.
Sang has on the hand written to the DCI George Kinoti noting that he will soon furnish the criminal intelligence agency with a list of witnesses with knowledge of Joho’s illicit drug trade.
“The DCI and the Director of Public Prosecutions must be able to take this issue seriously and ensure that friends and accomplices of the Akasha brothers around this country are prosecuted,” he told reporters.
