    Early Life

    Born Jeon Jung-kook on September 1, 1997, in Busan, South Korea, Jungkook initially aspired to be a badminton player. However, after witnessing G-Dragon perform Heartbreaker in 2009, he pursued music instead. After auditioning for Superstar K in 2011, he received multiple offers from entertainment agencies and joined Big Hit Entertainment as a trainee. He later trained in Los Angeles to refine his dance skills before debuting with BTS in 2013.
