Kenya Airways temporarily suspended flights to Dubai and Sharjah following the closure of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) airspace, the airline announced.

In a statement, the national carrier said the suspension will remain in effect until further notice as the situation continues to evolve.

As a result of the airspace closure, the airline has cancelled passenger flights KQ310 and KQ305, as well as scheduled freighter services to the affected destinations.

The move, Kenya Airways said, was taken to safeguard the safety of its customers and crew.

“We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience and understanding,” the airline said, adding that it would directly contact affected customers to provide the necessary assistance, including rebooking and alternative travel arrangements where possible.

The airline noted that the disruption stems from circumstances beyond its control and assured passengers that it is closely monitoring developments.

Customers have been advised to check the latest flight updates on the Kenya Airways website or mobile app.

They can also contact the Customer Excellence Team via phone at +254 711 024 747, WhatsApp at +254 705 474 747, or through X at @KQSuport.

Kenya Airways said it will continue to issue updates as soon as new information becomes available.

This follows a move by the US and Israel to attack Iran.
