Kenya’s ambassador to Malaysia Ndegwa Muhoro has landed in the country for his duties.
Speaking to Kahawa Tungu, his communication team said that Muhoro was not rejected by the host country as reported by sections of the media last week.
“Despite rumours that he was rejected, he has arrived in Malaysia as ambassador and is expected to assume the role,” said his handlers.
Muhoro says that he hasn’t received information that his appointment has been rejected by the host government.
Last week, sections of the media reported that the former Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss had been rejected by Malaysia where he was to begin his new ambassadorial job.
Others who were said to have been rejected by their host countries include Johnson Kimani Ondieki and Paddy Ahenda for Turkey and Qatar respectively.
In August last year, Uhuru appointed 13 new ambassadors to represent the country in other foreign countries.

Among those appointed include Kiema Kilonzo ( Uganda), Dr Willy Machage (Nigeria), Mohammed Shidiye ( Botswana), Dan Kazungu (Tanzania), Willy Bett (India), Lawrence Lenayapa (Netherlands), Judy Wakhungu (France) and Anthony Muchiri (Cuba).
Former Health Cabinet Secretary Dr Cleopa Mailu was appointed to represent Kenya at the UN-Geneva as a Permanent Representative, Dr Hassan Wario at UN-Vienna as the ambassador-designate and Richard Ekai as the new ambassador to Russia.
Ambassador Phyllis Kandie was appointed to Paris as Kenya’s Permanent Representative to UNESCO.
