President Uhuru Kenyatta has joined the list of Kenyans voting for rapper Nyashinski who has been nominated for MTV EMA awards, taking place on 12 November, 2017.
The Head of state urged Kenyans to vote for Nyashinski as a ‘show support for our own.’
Nyashinski was nominated for Best African Act 2017 and he will be going up against Nigeria’s top artists Davido and Wizkid.
“I just voted for @RealShinski. He gave us a great song. ‘Namwoogopa Mungu Pekee’ Let us all vote for him #LondonIsOpen,” the President wrote.

Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz is also among artists who have shown support for Nyashinski and urged everyone around the East African block to vote for his fellow artist.
Most of Kenyans did not however like the idea as they went ahead to attack President Uhuru asking him to focus on important issues that the nation is currently facing.
