Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has announced that 92% of Grade 10 students have reported to school.

Speaking on Sunday at Maemba in Sigowet Soin Constituency, Kericho County, Kindiki said that National Government Administration Officers and education officials have been instructed to ensure all Grade 10 learners transition to Senior Secondary School.

“So far, 92% of the learners have been admitted to various schools, and the remaining 8% are expected to report beginning tomorrow, as directed by President William Ruto,” Kindiki said.

President Ruto recently ordered chiefs to ensure that any Grade 10 learners who had not yet been admitted are enrolled. He also directed senior school principals to accept students regardless of school fees or uniforms.

Kindiki added that the government has invested billions of shillings to improve education, including the construction of 23,000 classrooms, 1,600 laboratories, and the recruitment and deployment of 100,000 teachers.
