The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has announced vacancies for assessors to help evaluate KCSE 2025 oral and practical papers scheduled between June 10 and July 30, 2025.

In a public notice issued on Tuesday, June 10, KNEC said the assessors will be responsible for evaluating subjects that require practical or oral assessment.

Teachers and tutors already listed in KNEC’s database of assessors have been advised not to apply again.

Eligible applicants must be registered teachers with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), hold a diploma or higher qualification, be aged 50 years and below, and specialize in any of the following areas: Power Mechanics, Electricity, Aviation Technology, French Oral, German Oral, Arabic Oral, Music Practical, and Kenyan Sign Language Signing Practical.

To apply, interested candidates should access the KNEC examiners’ portal via https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke. Teachers with existing CP2 accounts can log in using their username and password. If a password has been forgotten, they should click the “Reset Password” option and follow the steps using their mobile number in the format 2547********.

Those without CP2 accounts must click on “Create Account” and follow the prompts to receive login credentials. After logging in, applicants are required to complete their personal profile, save the details, and proceed to apply for the assessor vacancies listed on the dashboard.

“The slots are limited and only qualified applicants who submit all the required documents will be shortlisted,” the notice stated.

This recruitment comes ahead of the KCSE 2025 exams, which are scheduled to begin on October 21 and end on November 21. Rehearsals will be held on October 17, 2025.
