Linda Mwananchi has appointed political communications strategist Pauline Njoroge as its Interim Head of Communication as the movement continues with its rebranding and organisational restructuring.

The appointment followed a meeting of the Linda Mwananchi leadership on Monday to review progress on the movement’s rebranding process and the ongoing establishment of its structures and Presidential Campaign Secretariat.

In a statement, the movement said Njoroge brings extensive experience in political and strategic communication, having previously worked on presidential campaigns, as well as with government institutions and intergovernmental organisations.

“Pauline brings a wealth of experience in political and strategic communication, having previously worked on presidential campaigns, and with various governmental institutions and intergovernmental organizations,” Linda Mwananchi said.

Njoroge accepted the appointment and thanked the movement’s leadership for the opportunity.

“Honoured by this appointment. I thank H.E Edwin Sifuna and the Linda Mwananchi leadership for the trust and opportunity to serve,” she said in a social media post.

The leadership also resolved to appoint Fredah Onduso Abigael Gikonyo and Charity Waweru to the Communication Department.

Linda Mwananchi said further appointments would be announced in due course as it continues to establish its organisational and campaign structures.

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna is the movement’s preferred presidential candidate.
