Mail Marketing Remains a Viable Tool for Brand Messaging

In a world of spam and unnecessary e-mail marketing, NATIVE is seeking to provide relevance and context by implementing strategic e-mailing through the use of PMailer, a bulk email and sms platform.

Even though mail marketing might be considered a dinosaur in comparison to its newer and sleeker social media cousins, it is still a very viable tool for a brand to get its message across to the public. Many sites use e-mail subscription marketing to alert subscribers to new offers, products and content. While having a Facebook page and a Twitter account might be seen as a replacement for e-mail marketing, it cannot replace the convenience of stored content that can be referenced later.

However, e-mail is not necessarily right for all campaigns. “It’s important to approach every campaign with the right set of tools and strategies. To use e-mail marketing when it is going to be considered spam or not reach the demographic could spell disaster,” says Ben Wagner, NATIVE Chief Marketing Warrior.

In order to facilitate these strategies, NATIVE has opted to use its best-of-breed principle to integrate PMailer into the NativeOS content management system. PMailer is an SMS platform that delivers on performance, content creation (both creative and text) and analytics. The technology enables clients to manage every aspect of their campaign, from the build of the mail, to the send, to the sharing of the content on social networks and finally to the analysis of the mails success.

All of this is encompassed in one comprehensive package, which will be part of the powerful CMS that NativeOS is. The NativeOS strategy to become an innovative, world class CMS is no longer just a strategy, but with integrations like Janrain and Pmailer, it is a reality.

NativeOS (formerly Cambrient Content Suite) is a fully-fledged content management solution that has grown exponentially in functionality since its launch in 2002. Notable websites built on this technology include Pick ‘n Pay (http:// http://www.picknpay.co.za/), South African Tourism (http://www.southafrica.net/) and the newly launched Foschini site (http://www.foschini.co.za/).
