Police are investigating the murder of a man whose body was found on the roadside in Naivasha Town, Nakuru County.
The victim was identified as Joseph Ajon, 35. The motive of the murder was not immediately established. His car, a Volkswagen Tiguan, grey in color, was found abandoned a few meters away from where his body lay, police said of the March 3 incident.
Police said they were called and informed of the incident long after it had happened. The body lay in an open field a few meters away from Naivasha-Maimahiu highway with multiple injuries in the ears and thighs.
The body had a wrist watch and cap on it and a pool of blood a few meters away.
The body was moved to the mortuary while the car was towed to the local mortuary pending other investigations. Police believe the victim was driven to the scene and killed there.
A team revisited the scene and combed the car for possible clues on the killers.
