The exercise the CS said will help curb the road carnage menace that has rocked the country during the festive season.

”We have to be firm on driving schools. My proposal is to deregister all of them and re-register afresh so that we know who is qualified to run a driving school,” Matiang’i said.

Licenses, he added would be availed to only qualified drivers and a medical examination will also be mandatory.

”To get a new driving license, you will have to fulfill certain conditions, including medical. We are reviewing the entire traffic department. The process is going on now.
