Migori county clerk, Caspal Obiero was arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts on Thursday, before Lady Justice Jessie Lessit, where he pleaded not guilty .
The suspect has been charged with the murder of 26 year old, Sharon Otieno.
Mr Obiero’s defense team applied for bail but the request was not granted.

The prosecution team opposed the bail application saying that the case can be heard together with that of other suspects in Sharon Otieno’s murder case.
Judge Lessit ruled that the bail and consolidation of the cases hearing will be heard on 8 October, 2018 and the suspects will remain in remand at Industrial area prison.
