A man who had been missing for two days was found dead in a thicket in Mashru, Kajiado County.
Kiio Mutisya, 48 had been missing since April 26 from Steplap Technical Farm where he worked.
A search was mounted in the farm and his house before his body was found strapped in a thicket.
Police officers visited the scene and established that there was evidence of a struggle and fight in and around the deceased’s house.
There was a prominent trail of blood spots from the house to the thicket where the body had been discovered, police said.
The body had two visible cuts on the head, one at neck and was moved to Makindu sub-county hospital for preservation, awaiting postmortem examination.
The farm’s watchman was held for questioning.
The motive of the murder is yet to be established.
In Matungulu, Machakos County in Ngomeni village one Wilbert Nzioki Muthusi, 59 was found dead in his farm.
Locals said he had gone to the farm to cultivate before the body was found with vomit in his mouth and on the ground while facing upwards.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and investigations.
Elsewhere in Mudete, Vihiga County, a body of a man was found floating on a river in Inyali area. Police officers visited the scene and found the body of one Joseph Mulimi, 40 with no visible injuries floating there.
The body was retrieved from the river and taken to Vihiga County Referral Hospital mortuary, awaiting postmortem examination.
In Timau, Meru County, a man was found dead on the roadside.
Police said the victim had visible injuries on the head and blood was oozing from the same area.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and identification.
Police want to establish the cause of the death for further action.
