Business people protesting on the streets of Nairobi have been teargassed by the Anti-riot police as they tried to march to Parliament.

The Nairobi Business Community accused the Jubilee government of killing their businesses especially with the importation of locally available goods.

Some of the protesters accused the police of harassing them at their places of work under the pretense of inspecting goods.

“We are paying high taxes yet we cannot do business in this town without having to pay bribes. We need the government to create a good environment for business people,” John Kamau said.
