Nation Media has been in the limelight for the past few weeks over factual errors hard to overlook especially coming form the biggest Mainstream house in the land.

Barely a week after giving elaborate airing of Steve Mbogo’s ‘fake letter’, addressed to the Inspector General of Police, Joseph Boinnet , one which was false and unverified.

The Media House is at the receiving end again.

On Friday, the Nation Breaking News twitter handle reported that the President had appointed Peter Wanyaga Muthoka as the Chancellor Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, replacing retired President Mwai Kibaki; but instead used Peter Wambua Muthoka’s image.

Nation has since issued a correction, something that they have been doing for sometime now. Which begs the question, is their editorial team wanting?

Don't we have supervisors in all our media houses or it's the game of who trends first. Cos this mistakes are too many

Only a few weeks ago, the Business Daily was on the spot for using CS Foreign Affairs, Amina Mohammed’s image to highlight a story about KICC’s CEO who allegedly irregularly offered contracts of up to Sh1.4 billion to fake companies.

The CS threatened to sue the daily for defamation should they not have apologized, which they later did.

The Media House met the wrath of the unforgiving internet users who accused them of carrying fake news.
