It is 9.00pm at Lang’ata intersection. .. trying to drive home through the Southern by-pass. We connect with 5 GK vehicles without siren and beam. We however identify it as DP Ruto’s convoy. We are in a convoy of 3 vehicles with the lead car having the beam on. In the convoy is the most common vehicle used by Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga that is easily identifiable by any Kenyan, age notwithstanding.

One of the GK vehicles pulls off Ruto’s convoy to block us. The security lowers the window glasses and point their riffles at us. “Who are you?” They shouted. Our escort commander shouts back, “… and who are you?”
Our security quickly reacts and pulls out their firearms too.
After brief altercation, the convoy speeds off towards Karen apparently on the same route as us. We follow and they drive right into Ruto ‘s official residence.

Well, we were not after them … and so, we drive home to drop off the boss. A week later, Raila’s security is withdrawn without official communication and explanation.
An unmarked Land Rover has since been trailing Raila’s convoy. What is this government up to? The security might have swept this under but I won’t. Something evil is cooking.
