    Police Injure Resident In Lucky Summer For Protesting Mungiki Gathering

    Police have shot down a resident in Lucky Summer area Nairobi.The residents were protesting a meeting purported to be held by members of the outlawed Mungiki sect.

    The police said that they were dispersing the protesters.The group attending the meeting said that it was a prayer meeting but the residents refuted claiming that the meeting conspicuously lacked women and that rituals were done.

    The residents questioned the slaughtering of goats and the smearing of blood that they saw happening in the purported prayer meeting.

    The residents said that there was a police land cruiser between the protesters and the meeting,they got annoyed barricaded the road and lit a Tyre  and that is when the police opened fire to disperse the crown shooting and injuring one of the residents who was rushed to Uhai Neema hospital.
