Authorities have intensified operations to curb rising cases of violent attacks and robberies along Thika Highway, following a spate of incidents that left residents in fear.
The crackdown, launched on Tuesday, aims to dismantle criminal gangs preying on innocent pedestrians and motorists.
In a swift operation, police arrested John Junior Oginga, who was found armed with a knife after allegedly robbing an unsuspecting victim of an Oppo A77S mobile phone valued at Sh28,000. Oginga was nabbed along Thika Highway and taken into custody at Pangani Police Station.

Additionally, seven suspects—Jared Nyanza, Darlin Lande, Daniel Okombe, Mike Robert, Elvis Otieno, Reagan Omondi, and Mathenge Gachiri—were apprehended in Mathare Area 4 after allegedly robbing members of the public of their mobile phones and other valuables.
The suspects were taken to Muthaiga Police Station, where officers also recovered seven brand-new shirts, believed to be stolen property.
All arrested individuals have since been processed and arraigned in court as law enforcement agencies continue to hunt for more gang members.
