The National Police Service has refuted claims of Moses Wetangula’s bodyguard, Simon Lonyang’ being fired from the service.
Mr Lonyang’ was involved in an altercation outside the Supreme Court on Monday where he refused to leave his arm with the police officers manning the SCOK entrance.
He had to be forcefully disarmed and later taken to Central Police Station where he was held.
The bodyguard appeared in court yesterday where he was facing disturbance charges.

Bungoma senator elect on Tuesday asked that his aide be reinstated saying that the due process was not followed.
Speaking to KTN News, Wetangula said that Lonyang’ was a good man. He also pointed out that he was endangering his life by walking alone without ‘his boy.’
”As you can see, I am just walking alone. This in fact puts my life in danger. So ideally I am not safe and this impunity should stop.
He is good guy, courteous enough and I doubt if he created any disturbance as being alleged by the police, so I cannot say that he is a of deviant character. Something must be wrong.”
