Congratulations are in order for Knxwledge, who has officially announced his move to Japan, marking a new chapter in his career and personal life.

The acclaimed producer—best known as one half of the duo NxWorries alongside Anderson .Paak—shared the news via X on Sunday (April 5), writing in Japanese that he has “officially become a resident of Japan.” The announcement followed his first performance in Kyoto on April 4, further cementing his growing connection to the country.

In a candid Instagram Story, Knxwledge opened up about the decision behind his relocation, explaining that work opportunities had significantly slowed down in recent years. He noted that, outside of Japan-based performances and NxWorries-related shows, he had not received consistent booking offers since before the COVID-19 pandemic. According to him, the move was driven by a desire to find “peace and stability” in a new environment.

His appreciation for Japan has long been reflected in his artistry. Over the years, Knxwledge has released several projects featuring Japanese titles and themes, highlighting a creative and cultural connection that predates his relocation.

The producer’s name has also surfaced in broader music conversations involving major industry figures, including reports that global superstar Rihanna has expressed admiration for his work. In a recent discussion on The Joe Budden Podcast, rapper A$AP Rocky teased the idea of potential collaborations, adding to ongoing speculation about high-profile projects involving Knxwledge’s production style.

While long celebrated as an underground favorite, Knxwledge reached wider mainstream recognition through NxWorries, earning critical acclaim and securing a Grammy Award for Best Progressive R&B Album in 2025 for Why Lawd?.
