The late CS Interior Security, Joseph Nkaissery died in the wee hours of Saturday morning.
The former Major General has been eulogized by all as a genuine, firm and and dedicated servant. Raila Odinga said that the former Kajiado Mp was a great man who made the Jubilee government efficient.
The former premier also said that Nkaissery worked diligently for the Jubilee government and had no personal issues with the fallen hero.
Raila who spoke in Mombasa took issue with the hastened appointment of CS Matiang’i to act as CS Interior.
Uhuru should have waited. Kenya’s security is safe and there was no need to hurry with a replacement. Kenya’s security is not about one person. Kenya is a peaceful country. It was disrespectful,” Raila said.
The President appointed CS Matiang’i as acting CS Interior before condoling with the late legislator’s family.
Many have termed it as disrespectful but according to Uhuru, he wanted to ensure that there was no ‘vacuum.’
