Robin Quivers, longtime co-host and radio partner of Howard Stern, has been declared cancer-free 14 years after first being diagnosed with endometrial cancer.
The emotional update was shared during Monday’s episode of The Howard Stern Show, where Stern described the news as nothing short of “a miracle.”
“Robin kicked cancer’s ass. They said it couldn’t be done,” Stern said on air, adding that he still “gets the chills” thinking about the moment Quivers informed him of her recovery.
“I couldn’t believe it. And really, I’ve said this to Robin privately, but I would like to say it on the air — this is really a miracle,” he added.
Stern also paid tribute to Quivers, 73, calling her “a fighter” and praising the way she handled her long and difficult health journey.
“She researched, she got the answers she needed. And here’s the good lesson — she took charge,” Stern said. “I’ve watched the whole thing. She took charge of her health. She started doing all the right things, she never deviated, and she really took it seriously.”
Quivers, 73, said she feels like “a brand-new person” after receiving confirmation from doctors last week that her cancer is no longer present. She also reflected on the emotional toll of her treatment, noting that while the process was not “fun,” she “never gave up hope.”
Quivers, who has worked alongside Stern for more than 45 years, was first diagnosed with stage 3C endometrial cancer in 2012 and underwent a hysterectomy the same year. She initially announced remission in 2013 after 15 months of chemotherapy and radiation, but the cancer later returned.
In recent years, she has spoken openly about undergoing intermittent immunotherapy infusions as part of her ongoing treatment plan, including in a 2023 interview with People magazine.
