When Feyenoord face ADO Den Haag, veteran striker, Robin Van Persie will play his last professional game and then hang his boots in what has been an illustrious career.

Feyenoord’s boss, Giovanni van Bronckhorst has confirmed the Flying Dutchman’s retirement, ‘He can enjoy the moment on Sunday, a wonderful end to his career.’

The 35 year old joined Arsenal in 2004 having spent five years at Rotterdam and featured in over 270 games before he left for Manchester United in 2012.

Van Persie ends his career as the top goalscorer for the Dutch national team with 50 goals in 102 appearances.
