Safaricom has convened its flagship Innovation Day under the theme “Powering What’s Next: AI, Resilience & Sustainable Innovation.”

The high-level forum brought together more than 100 decision-makers, technology partners, and enterprise customers, underscoring Safaricom’s ambition to transition into a purpose-led technology company within the next five years.

Discussions during the event centred on emerging solutions in cloud, cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI), with a strong emphasis on how enterprises can leverage these technologies to remain competitive and sustainable in a rapidly digitising economy.

“As digitisation accelerates across all sectors, businesses are seeking trusted partners who offer secure, AI-powered, and scalable solutions. We aim to be that partner in their digital transformation journey,” said Frankline Okata, Acting Chief Enterprise Business Officer at Safaricom.

The event also reinforced Safaricom’s promise to support enterprise growth in Kenya by repositioning itself beyond connectivity into a strategic technology partner.

“Safaricom Business Innovation Day represents more than a showcase; it is a declaration of intent. We are no longer just a connectivity provider. We are evolving into a full-scale digital transformation enabler, helping businesses harness technology to build resilience and sustainability,” Okata added.

By highlighting its investments in advanced enterprise solutions, Safaricom signaled its determination to shape the future of digital business in Kenya and beyond, strengthening its market position as a technology enabler in Africa.
