The selection panel overseeing recruitment to the Kenya National Innovation Agency (KeNIA) has announced vacancies for the positions of chairperson and board members.
In a notice published in MyGov on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, the panel said it is seeking to fill one chairperson position and four board member slots.
“The appointments seek to attract individuals of high integrity, demonstrated leadership, and proven expertise in fields relevant to science, technology, innovation, finance, governance, industry, or public administration, to provide strategic direction and oversight to the Agency in advancing Kenya’s innovation ecosystem and national development priorities,” the notice reads.
Details of the posts, requirements and mode of application can be accessed on the KeNIA website.
Interested and qualified persons must submit applications online through the agency’s careers portal.
“Applications should be received on or before March 17, 2026 at 2359hrs. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted,” the notice states.
Knowledge and demonstrated experience in science, technology and innovation areas such as start-up ecosystem development, commercialisation systems, legal regulatory and policy environments, and resource mobilisation and management will be considered an added advantage.
In line with public service regulations and governance requirements, individuals currently serving as public officers are not eligible for consideration.
