Baringo senator Gideon Moi has been appointed to the senate I.C.T committee as chairman. he was elected to the position unopposed and will be deputized by nominated senator Halako Abshiro.
Gideon Moi has refuted claims that he was set to take up a cabinet position, reiterating that his duty was serve the people of Baringo and that he he will not take any position in cabinet even if he is given one.

There has been rumors that the senator was set to join the cabinet. The said appointment was speculated to be compensation for his party to join Jubilee as an affiliate party ahead of the 2017 general elections
Gideon Moi is the leader of the KANU party and managed to get his senate seat, one member of parliament and 10 M.C.A positions.
