    Two Ugandan Policemen Arrested In Busia After Firing In Kenyan Soil

    Two Ugandan policemen in are the custody of Kenyan police for trespassing. The two were in hot pursuit of fish believed to be from Uganda and were arrested after opening fire to the vehicle transporting the fish.

    The two officers who are being held at Busia Police Station have recorded statement so is the driver who escaped narrowly.

    Following the incidence, the County Commissioner of Busia Jacob Narengo is currently holding a meeting with Resident District Commissioner of Busia Uganda Hussein Matanda.

    This is not the first time authorities in the two countries are engaged in a conflict.

    In June, three Administration Policemen from Kenya were arrested by Ugandan authorities, detained for a day then later released.

    Kenya and Uganda have been having a border conflict, especially on the ownership of Migingo island where several fishermen have been arrested in the past.
