CS Interior Security, Joseph Nkaissery passed on Saturday morning at the Karen Hospital.
The former Major General collapsed in his home and was rushed to the Karen Hospital where it is said he passed on after a few hours of admission.
The President has mourned the former Kajiado Mp as a passionate man who last night at 9.30 pm was still discussing issues security.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has however appointed CS Education, Fred Matiang’i as the acting CS Interior.
According to Uhuru, a postmortem is on going to find out what exactly happened to the late CS. He has also assured the country that all is well, in matters security and that Kenya is a strong country that can withstand anything.
Uhuru has also said that Joseph Nkaissery was last night discussing the World IAAF U18 championships that will be taking place at the Kasarani Stadium.
The President has asked the people to mourn in peace.
Nkaissery’s wife, Hellen Nkaissery was also admitted at the Nairobi Hospital due to shock and high blood pressure.
