Chairman of the IEBC Wafula Chebukati has said that he is unable to ensure credible elections since the commission is divided along partisan lines.
He has indirectly asked CEO chiloba and the staff who have been adversely mentioned on the election irregularities to step aside and allow the appointed project team to operate in their absence.
He has asked NASA leader Raila Odinga and the Jubilee presidential candidate Uhuru Kenyatta to engage in talks where he will be the referee.
He has said that as a defender of the the constitution he will not let the country plunge because of political interests.He said that he will not go down as the National returning officer who made the country to plunge into chaos.

He will not tender his resignation,he is giving a yellow card on all political parties .
He will not tolerate threats on the commission staff from both sides of the political divide.
Wafula Chebukati said that the IEBC is operationally prepared to conduct the elections on October 26.
