Kisii County’s Nyaribari Masaba Member of Parliament Dr. Daniel Manduku emphasized the need for educated and visionary leadership in the constituency to drive meaningful development and uplift local communities.

Dr. Manduku said there was more to political leadership than mere public rhetoric.

The legislator lashed out at his main critic Ben Momanyi, UDA, saying there is much that goes on in the legislator that requires scholarship.

“There is policy formulation, there is substantial legal work required and all this required and educated mind,” the MP said Sunday.

Dr Manduku was speaking at St Mokorogoinwa and Riuri Catholic churches during worship services.

At Mokorogoinwa, the legislator vehemently warded off the onslaught by a local politician who has lately increased criticisism of the legislator’,s development record.

Dr Manduku however poked holes on the aspirant’s academic records saying there were insufficient to provide him with the sound intellectual skills needed of an MP.

“I have heard some people, whose academic credentials are not known are loitering around talking about electoral politics. For Nyaribari Masaba to move forward, it needs leaders who are not only learned but also understand the complexities of modern governance,” said Dr. Manduku.

“In fact it is either a Professor or a Dr and above,” he told worshippers at Mokorogoinwa Catholic church.

Dr Manduku is a former Kenya Ports Authority Managing Director and a trained architect.

He urged local youth to pursue education seriously, calling it the greatest equalizer in society.

The MP was elected on a platform of change and development.

He reaffirmed his commitment to continue advocating for policies that empower residents through education, healthcare, and infrastructure improvements.

At Riuri, he stated that his track record in delivering development projects in the constituency is clear and evident.

The residents, he said ,can discern the tangible progress made under his leadership.

“My record of development speaks for itself. From improved road networks to education, we are making real strides,” said Dr. Manduku.

The MP highlighted several ongoing and completed initiatives, urging constituents to judge him by the visible improvements in infrastructure and service delivery.

Dr. Manduku has expressed confidence in retaining his seat, citing growing support across the constituency.
