Kenya’s team to the 2018 Amputee World Cup in Mexico beat USA 2-1 in their second Group B match Tuesday morning.

The Amputee Stars put up a determined show to record their first win in the ongoing global tournament despite being reduced to six-men.

They had lost 4-1 to Turkey in their previous match.

Hosts Mexico, England, Ireland and Uruguay are the other members of the “group of death.”

Shockingly, despite the fact that the team is flying the Kenyan flag in a far away land, they were not in the Kenyan colors, instead they were wearing a yellow kit branded “Team Sonko” in the front part.

The team faced a lot of challenges to represent Kenya in the event and relied on well-wishers for support with the Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko donating their kit.
