Simmers owner and former Kimilil MP Suleiman Murunga has moved to court to try and get possession of simmers after he was forcefully evicted.
He claimed that Nelister Holding Limited and Green Valley pulled down the structures yet there was a court order restraining them from doing so.

He has asked that the application which he applied and a certificate of urgency be heard expeditiously as he has lost stock and business as a result of the forceful eviction.
“On Friday March 3, 2018 at about 3.00 p.m. the two companies through an unknown auctioneers descended upon Murunga at the suit premises and with the help of a contingent of police officers from Central Police Station and hired goons, started evicting him from the suit property forcefully,” said Otieno, Murunga’s lawyer.
He said that the directors of the two companies should also be detained for six months for contempt of court for orders issued in July 2014.
He said that he had not been served with the eviction orders by a subordinate court. He said that the respondents should not make profit from the premises.
