    KNEC Releases 2025 KCSE Exam Timetable

    The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has officially released the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) timetable, with exams set to begin on October 21, 2025, and end on November 21, 2025.

    According to the schedule, the exams will kick off with French, Sign Language, and German, followed by practical examinations in subjects such as Home Science, Art and Design, Woodwork, and Metalwork from October 22 to October 31.

    The written (theory) exams will start on November 3, with students sitting for English Paper 1 in the morning and Chemistry Paper 1 in the afternoon. The following day, candidates will tackle Mathematics in the morning, followed by English Literature in the afternoon.

    On November 5, students will sit for Chemistry Paper 2 in the morning and the English composition paper in the afternoon. The next day, Kiswahili (Lugha) Paper 1 will be written in the morning, followed by Kiswahili (Fasihi) Paper 2 in the afternoon.

    The second week of KCSE exams will commence on November 11 with Christian Religious Education (CRE) Paper 1 in the morning and Biology Paper 1 in the afternoon. Biology Paper 2 will be administered on November 13, followed by History and Government in the afternoon.

    The week will conclude with Biology practicals, where students will have one hour and 45 minutes to complete their tests.

    The last week of exams will begin with Geography Paper 1 in the morning and Physics Paper 1 in the afternoon. Business Studies Paper 1 and Agriculture Paper 1 will be examined the following day.

    On November 20, candidates will sit for Business Studies Paper 2 and Agriculture Paper 2. The KCSE examinations will conclude on Friday, November 21, with the Physics Paper 3 practical.

    KNEC has urged candidates to familiarize themselves with the timetable and prepare accordingly to ensure a smooth examination period.
