Football Kenya Federation has rewarded the Harambee Stars with Ksh2 million for yesterday’s huge win over Ghana’s Black Stars in the 2019 Afcon qualifiers.
Nicholas Opoku’s first half own goal secured the historic victory that revived Kenya’s hopes of qualifying for the 2019 Afcon in Cameroon.
Japan-based striker Michael Olunga, who forced Opoku to turn the ball into his own net, confirmed the token of appreciation and added that the federation has taken good care of them in camp.
“The federation honoured its promise and have rewarded us with Ksh. 2million.This is good for the players and so far the federation has taken good care of us.
Everything has been fantastic and the mood in camp is great,” the Kashiwa Reysol forward told Futaa.

Stand-in captain Musa Mohammed echoed Olunga’s sentiments revealed while revealing that the government will sort out their allowances Monday.
“We have been well taken care of. The government promised to sort out our allowances Monday and we are sure that will be done,” the Nkana FC defender, who wore the armband in the absence of Victor Wanyama said.
Stars remain in camp ahead of Tuesday’s friendly against Malawi at the venue of the Saturday’s clash, Kasarani Stadium.
