AS Vita Club have alleged that their players were attacked by Raja Casablanca players after their CAF Confederation Cup finals first leg match Sunday.

The DRC club lost 3-0 to the Moroccan side before a fully packed King Mohamed V Complex in Casablanca.

“Despite the defeat, our players were attacked by Raja players,” the club tweeted a photo of one of their players, Eddy Ngoi, with blood stains on his lips.

In the highly contested game, the hosts scored the three goals in the second half as Vita Club’s strategy to defend fell flat.

Soufiane Rahimi grabbed a brace with the tournament’s leading top scorer Mohamoud Benhalib sealing the win with the third.

Raja will travel to Kinshasa for the return leg set for Sunday with the aggregate winner taking home the remaining continental glory.
