Jacob “Ghost” Mulee has been unveiled as the new Harambee Stars coach after signing a three-year deal. 52-year-old Ghost succeeds Francis Kimanzi, who resigned on Tuesday. He is making a fifth return to the national team after guiding the team to the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia. Ghost has also coached Tusker FC, winning three Kenyan Premier League titles with Tusker FC, APR of Rwanda and Tanzania’s Yanga SC. President Uhuru Kenyatta has gifted Shabana FC a 62-seater team bus. In a brief ceremony at Kisii State Lodge this morning, the Head of State flagged off the bus. AFC Leopards have signed Burudian striker Bienvenue Shaka from Tunisian top division side Etoile Sportif du Sahel. Shaka moves to Ingwe after spending two years in Tunisian league. Shabana FC will this afternoon host AFC Leopards in Mashujaa Day exhibition match at Gusii Stadium. Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has declared they are ready for football resumption in the country. Buoyed by Friday’s successful hosting of Zambia in an international friendly at Nyayo Stadium, the federation is upbeat the time is right for the government to lift the ban on football.
