Daily mail received the wrath of Kenyans on social media after they tried to link  the London Marathon winner Eliud Kipchoge to doping. “Kipchoge is rewriting the record books when his native Kenya is in the midst of a major doping crisis and there are widespread concerns about anti-doping standards in Ethiopia.” They wrote. The government issued 9,465 permits last year to Expats a 13 percent increase from the 8,366 in 2017 as per the Economic survey. The rise is after the Kenyan government had place stringent measures to have minimum foreigners working in positions that Kenyans could do. Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has revealed that officers from the Auditor General’s office tried to get a Sh100 million bribe from his office. He said that the auditor general Edward Ouko was a decent man but his officers were corrupt and had asked for the money in exchange for a good report on the county’s expenditure. Mombasa governor Hassan Joho and Kirinyaga woman representative, Purity Ngirici may face legal action over debt incurred for the hiring of choppers belonging to FlexiAir. Joho is said to have hired a FlexiAir helicopter between October 7 and 17, 2016, at the cost of Sh4.4 million out of which sum Sh2.5 million remains unpaid.
