Kenya Bureau of Standards (Kebs) on Wednesday reinstated two maize flour brands earlier said to contain high levels of aflatoxin. Sacked army major Peter Mugure’s wife Joyce Syombua died of a head injury, an autopsy report has revealed. Her two children; Shanice Maua and Prince Michael were strangled to death, the postmortem conducted at Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary has showed. A Mombasa lawyer was on Wednesday pronounced dead on arrival at the Pandya hospital after he jumped from a government building. Sammy Anyazwa of Anyazwa and Co-company Advocates is said to have leaped to his death from the 10th floor of the building. Teacher Service Commission’s (TSC) plan to cut ties with Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) was on Tuesday halted by a Nairobi court. Labour court Judge Maureen Onyango suspended the termination notice until the case is heard and determined. Bodies of Army Major Peter Mugure’s Wife and kids have been discovered in a shallow grave within Thingithu Estate in Nanyuki. Police found Joyce Syombua, her two children Shanice Maua and Prince Michael after the suspect led them to the grave. The three went missing on October 26 following a visit to Mugure who is based at the Laikipia Airbase. A woman with Kenyan roots was on Monday found dead in the Intracoastal Waterway in St. Augustine, Florida, United States. Rose Chebii, born of a Kenyan father and American mother, is thought to have drowned with preliminary reports showing no indications of foul play. A spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office Chuck Mulligan said authorities are still trying to determine whether Chebii had gone for swimming or whether she died of hypothermia.
